💰 NEC Approves Tk 2.30 Trillion ADP for FY 2025–26

Source: Facebook.
The National Economic Council (NEC) has approved a Tk 2.30 trillion Annual Development Programme (ADP) for FY 2025–26—down from Tk 2.65 trillion in the original FY25 plan, but 6.5% higher than the revised budget. Of the total, Tk 1.44 trillion will be sourced domestically, with Tk 860 billion from foreign loans and grants. An additional Tk 85.99 billion is allocated for autonomous bodies and corporations.
The ADP focuses on completing ongoing projects, particularly those with foreign funding. While allocations for health and education have slightly decreased, officials noted these sectors would receive increased support under the non-development budget. The plan includes 1,171 projects, of which 26 are new and 200 will rely on foreign loans.
Key Features:
Top sectors: Transport (Tk 589.7B), Power (Tk 323.9B), Education (Tk 285.6B), Health (Tk 181.5B)
Funding split: Tk 1.44T (domestic) + Tk 860B (foreign loans/grants)
Total projects: 1,171 (26 new; 200 foreign-funded; 990 pending approval)
