Morning, people. You Know Kesha? Yes! That Kesha.
Used to be "Ke$ha" with the dollar sign — but now she’s thinking about money again. Why? Oh! Because she just launched a startup called Smash — a “LinkedIn + Fiverr–like” platform for music creators to collaborate, hire each other, and keep full rights to their work. 🎶

Background story: She had a legal battle with her producer (Dr. Luke) over a deal she signed as a teen, lost control of her own music. Now she’s a “free woman.”

⚖️ ATM Azharul Islam Got Death Sentence Free Card

Jamaat-e-Islami’s ATM Azharul Islam—once sentenced to 5 death for war crimes—was acquitted by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court and released from Dhaka Central Jail on 28 May. The court ruled unanimously that the original 2014 verdict by the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) was a “miscarriage of justice,” citing flawed evidence assessment. Azharul, who had been receiving treatment at BSMMU, joined a public reception in Shahbagh shortly after his release, where he praised the judiciary and called for trials of political killings under the previous government.

ICT trials tribunal had convicted him of genocide, murder, rape, and torture—highlighting harrowing testimonies, including that of a pregnant 17-year-old survivor who described being gang-raped and tortured for 18 days. Despite the gravity of these charges, Appellate Division found serious procedural lapses in the original trial and its appeal, noting the judgment contradicted long-standing legal norms.

Why does this matter now? Because this isn’t just a legal twist—it’s a political earthquake. Azharul’s acquittal comes after a regime change, raising eyebrows over judicial independence and the future of war crimes accountability. The verdict has already sparked fierce campus protests, clashes between student groups, and renewed debates on justice, memory, and reconciliation in post-’71 Bangladesh.
