💼 Women’s Reform Commission: Fighting Progress

Bangladesh’s Women’s Affairs Reform Commission dropped a bold 433-point plan to shake up women’s rights — and the reaction was predictable chaos. Islamist groups zeroed in on a few hot-button issues, calling the whole thing “anti-Islamic,” mainly because the commission forgot a crucial ingredient: respected religious voices to build bridges, not walls.
Beyond the noise, the real failure was messaging. Progressive reforms lost the culture war before it even began, thanks to clunky wording that let extremists paint them as a foreign agenda. Bottom line: women’s rights can’t win if they ignore the local vibe — bold moves need smart talk and allies inside the conversation.

📱 Trump’s got a little problem with Tim Cook. After Apple said it’ll ship most US iPhones from India, Trump told Cook to cut it out and build more at home—because “India can take care of themselves.” Apple’s $500B US expansion might soften the blow, but shifting iPhone assembly state could triple prices.
